Da Pad Street Racing Action
Simply put Da Pad is one of the most well known Street Racing spots in the country. It's a place where you can go almost on a nightly basis and see grudge racers battle it out for supremcy. You can see your average 4-500 hrosepower street car to a 3000 horsepower bearlly street legal race run down the streets there. The following statement was recently posted on Facebook by someone whom went to Da Pad for the first time.
Last weekend was my first trip to "Da Pad" in New Orleans. The atmosphere there is incredible and we got to hang out with some really cool people. What I witnessed there was very disturbing though to say the least. There were people lining the road for 6-700 feet while 2000+ hp cars raced down the street. Everyone knows that street racing is about living on the edge and testing ones ability to get a race car down a un-prepped road. I for one grew up street racing and I love the action and the rush it gives you.
Needless to say it sounds like an action packed place to be. But at the same time it sounds like it could be a very dangerous place to be. Well of course it could be dangerous, it's street racing.
